I recently bought a DIY mini-ITX NAS box which uses a 400Watt DELTA 1U flex ATX PSU. I chose the case because it has hot-swap drive bays.

I only realised the flex ATX PSU is super noisy much too late. A quick search turned up pretty much flex ATX PSUs are generally noisy unless there are recent models that are silent.

I looking for suggestions. Should I

1) get a pico PSU to run this NAS box silently? (I don't feel at ease with this)

2) forego this case and use Fractal Design Node 304 (minimal box with 6 internal drive support?) and use a known full-size silent ATX PSU? (this would be the most cost-effective solution though without hot-swap bays. I know a few 2nd hand sources for Node 304)

3) get a silverstone DS380 with a SFX PSU. (I have to buy both case and PSU, though this case would have 8 hotswap bays. Not too sure about the noise level of SFX PSUs too. So need suggestions.)

Are there any other case/PSU solutions or suggestions? I'm not too keen on modding the delta PSU to replace the fan.
