Disagree, I recommended this to my Mother who is almost 60 years old instead of Doggcatcher which she usually used and had also used Beyondpod.  Met her yesterday and found she had gone back to Doggcatcher because of the simple lack of an playlist generation.

 

I'm so surprised this app is hyped to the level that it is.  I'm surprised the developer didn't write a way for an auto generated playlist.  Probably the frustratingly restrictive iOS environment it became popular in.

 

Having to manually enter your playlist every time seems archaic.

Pradyumn Vij She may just need to understand and use episode filters, unless for some reason she needs to watch podcasts in some strange non-linear ordering scheme. Combined with the Play All option in the menu, I'd be interested in what use case it doesn't fit.

Neil Sedlak I'll check in with her but I think what she is use to doing is listening to all of the most recent 3 BBC podcasts, regardless of how old they are, just the top 3 in the RSS feed followed by her various TV show and book podcasts.  I didn't think to check whether she misinterpreted episode filter for just a filter.

Thanks for the heads up, the ambiguity of the naming scheme may have been lost on her.
