G+_Marlon Thompson
Fitness apps like the Samsung Galaxy S5 The focus of the Samsung Galaxy S5 was a lot on Fitness and I have said before that I think that S Health is one of the really well done Samsung apps, but what if you don't have a S5 how can you get that same functionality on your Android phone? Here is a list of some apps that approximates a little of what Samsung has to offer Runtastic Heart Rate Monitor Pro There is a free version of this app but the pro version gives you unlimited measurements and a few other bells and whistles. Its a beautifully designed app and gives you options of how your data can be displayed. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.runtastic.android.heartrate.pro Noom Weight Loss Coach Their are quite a few of these types of apps in the play store but I like the features and simplicity of this one. And it can pester help you to stay on target with your eating habits through timed notifications https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wsl.noom Pedometer Jason Howell featured this app in the arena and apart from a few bugs a couple of weeks ago I have found this to be one of the better pedometer apps out there and I love the gamification with leaderbords (btw Jason seems like you have stopped walking or using the app) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.pedometer Runkeeper - GPS Track, Walk,Run This is another category where their are tons of apps but I like Runkeeper because of the many added features they build in. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fitnesskeeper.runkeeper.pro Runtastic Music Why have I included a music app? Because if you are a nexus owner and you use an app like Runkeeper or Zombie Run you quickly find out that it cannot support playlists from Play Music and your choices for good free music apps are limited. So its either Winamp or this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.runtastic.android.music More apps When it comes to fitness apps Runtastic has created a ton to fulfil your needs, https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Runtastic I would also suggest looking at Noom inc since they have a ton of weight loss apps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Noom+Inc. The advantage of S Health however is that it pulls in all that data into one app but this is still one way to get a bit of that functionality
