G+_David Keeler
Hya KiTa's! Anyone have any suggestions how I can use a Rasberry Pi 3 to act a sync device between outlook and google calendars? I use OGCS for my desktop needs but that runs on a Windows Platform. I need a Raspian based alternative so I can just 'set it and forget it'. Thanks! G+_Tailsthefox Pelissier
Never tired it that way; the only way i found to make that work with Windows is to install Windows 10 on the Raspberry Pi. Belive you me it's not esay to use but it have work with Windows it's the best way to go.
G+_Akira Yamanita
By "Outlook", do you mean the hosted e-mail service a la Gmail? If so, you could probably use the free Microsoft Flow plan to create a synchronization flow between the two. If the calendar data is only in the local installation of Outlook, then you'll need to continue using a Windows based solution.
G+_David Keeler
Akira Yamanita Sorry, yes. I was looking to sync the Office365 Outlook account with the Google Calendar. I did try Microsoft Flow, but it is not behaving very well. I wont seem to find the shared Outlook Account that I am managing.
G+_David Keeler
Tailsthefox Pelissier Hmmmm I may try and load WIndows 10 on an old Pi 2 I can dedicate to the task. I will have to learn how to do that!
G+_Paul Hutchinson
Never tried it myself but from what I've read only Windows 10 IoT Core runs on RasPi and it only runs a custom app you write for it. In other words it's nothing like what most people expect from Windows 10. raspberrypi.org - Raspberry Pi Downloads - Software for the Raspberry Pi
G+_David Keeler
Paul Hutchinson Hmmmmmm sounds like it just isnt worth it. Id rather just dedicate an old Inspiron laptop to the job!
