G+_Marlon Thompson
I backed the original kickstarter, but I am surely skipping this one. I worry about a company that has to keep going back to kickstarter. BTW reading Myriam Joire dropped hints that they were going to go this route in a post and comments yesterday UPDATE in the time it took me to write the original post it looks as if they have already reached their initial goal. Originally shared by The Verge The Pebble Time will have a new OS, last seven days, and cost $159. http://www.theverge.com/2015/2/24/8097219/pebble-time-new-watch-e-paper-lcd-kickstarter

G+_Kyle Turpin
It's not at all clear that they had to go to Kickstarter, that seems like a promotional strategy.
G+_Joe Phelps
Kyle Turpin Either way, from my perspective, it makes the company look amateurish.

G+_Josh Frye
These will still be in stores right? I want to look at my tech in the flesh before I pull the trigger on the wallet. (I was able to sit down and read the article, busy day at the office. So everything after this is my reaction) I don't see anything wrong with them going to Kickstarter first , but only if it is just first. Since the watch will be in stores soon after. The kick starter aspect of it, is giving extreme fans a chance not to wait in a line like some do for new phones.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
I still feel that the Moto360 at $100 more gives you far more flexibility, and looks better. That being said, this will probably be the goto smartwatch for iOS users as the price difference is will be far greater than $100.
