G+_Dave Harding
So it looks like my Nexus 7 (2012) is dead. It wont turn on or charge, (i know its a known issue) which I've had a couple of times before and been able to recover just by pressing and holding power button for 30 seconds. So have been through the rigmarole as suggested by google support here; https://support.google.com/nexus/troubleshooter/3337561?hl=en-GB#ts=3337942,3339328,3397506,3438415 And also even had the back off, disconnected the battery for a period then reconnected and been through the same process again and still nothing. Anything else I can try or is that it for my trusty Nexus 7? ? https://support.google.com/nexus/troubleshooter/3337561?hl=en-GB#ts=3337942,3339328,3397506,3438415
G+_Tom Suitt
Mine is about dead, but that's from the OS. It was slowing down already, and when Lollipop came along, that pretty much killed it. I finally charged it again this week for the first time in 2 months. Gazelle I think is giving $20 for them. I wish there was a way to turn it into something else--maybe a really big remote control for my entertainment center?
G+_Anthony Kelly
Google support led me through a step by step that also involved "charging" the thing over night - even though it looked like the charging circuit hadn't kicked in, and the next morning I could charge it after doing the 30 second power button press to reset It's been running for a few months now with no new issues, and 5.1 is noticeably better than 5.
G+_L I
My Nexus 7 2012 died as well but it was the storage that died. Eventually I'd like to try the Nexus
