G+_Rico Cantrell
Hey guys/gals As much as I love my Nexus 6 it does have some issues. The sound quality on skype (what I use to talk to my daughter since my ex-wife refuses hangouts) is awful (they cant hear me) and I don’t have control over such things as the LED. Now I am ok with the size, love the hardware, and would love to put Cyanogenmod on here and it would fix all my issues. There’s the catch, I can’t run my corporate apps on a build with publicly available dev keys (MobileIron and my employer don’t allow it). So I'm in a pickle. Does anyone that you know of or you can put me in touch with build releases with private keys? I am also wondering if on your device the LED is active? thanks in advance. I welcome any and all help. G+_Kenny “KitkatRai” Rouss
Have you updated the Skype app in a bit? Have THEY updated the Skype app in a bit? I know that not all apps work perfectly on all devices, I've heard wonderful things about the speakers on the N6 on both ends
G+_Rico Cantrell
Ron- I saw the article, however I cant root my device or my corp email will quit working (mobileIron). Kenny- We are both/all running the newest versions of the app. Seems to be how the Mic is used with Skype video calls.
G+_Rico Cantrell
As much as a kick in the but it is.... It looks like what I need is a signed rom, cyanogen or a great derivative.
G+_Kenny “KitkatRai” Rouss
I don't think you'd need to install a rom, just doesn't sound right to me :/
G+_Rico Cantrell
Aside from Skype, the ability to use the LED would be great!! Ambient display has not won my heart yet. I can use Airdroid to watch events for now and respond without opening the phone. NOTE: just now Skype sent down an update. Will test today and post my findings. I would still like a signed ROM. G+_Rico Cantrell
Update on Skype and the Nexus6. There is a tiny noise canceling Mic on the back near the bottom of the device. if your hand is near this the sound is horrible. I suggest holding near the tome. that helped for me. And that kids... is one to grow on.
